Alonso Reyes is giving UC Irvine a hot-start, middle-of-the-order bat with real pop and versatility
Reyes is off to a standout 2026 start for UC Irvine, hitting .480 with eight RBI and earning Big West Player of the Week honors after a .643/.706/.857 four-game burst[2]. He’s more than a stat line: the 6-foot, 195-pound redshirt junior has a track record of producing in big spots, including a .317 season in 2025 with 11 doubles and three homers plus strong NCAA Regional performance[1]. His value is the combo of contact, extra-base power, and the ability to catch or play first base, making him a flexible fit for teams that want toughness and offense[1][2].
