Power-bodied SEC arm with swing-and-miss upside and a rehab cloud
In the 2026 season, Drew Rerick flashed a big right-handed frame and real bullpen utility for Oklahoma, but his impact was limited by a tiny workload and early-season command issues; he struck out 7 batters in 7 innings at Texas in 2025 and posted 11 walks in those same 7 innings, which tells you the raw stuff is intriguing but the strike-throwing is still a work in progress. He’s a transfer with a high-ceiling fastball/slider mix and was viewed as a candidate to take on a bigger role at Oklahoma, but reports in August 2026 noted he was in physical therapy after surgery to repair a torn left labrum, so the fit depends on patience and medical confidence.
