UMass' Defensive Anchor and NBA Finals Veteran
Tony Gaffney, the relentless 6'9" center for Massachusetts Minutemen (class of 2008), was a college standout known for his Spiderman-like athleticism, elite shot-blocking, and high-motor intensity that powered UMass to the 2007 Atlantic 10 title; his rebounding tenacity and leadership shone in the 2010 NBA Finals with the Boston Celtics. Post-college, he thrived in G League (career 28.6 MPG) and overseas (11.5 PPG in Spain), proving durable and versatile. Care about him for his championship pedigree and blue-collar grit—perfect fit for teams needing a high-energy big who elevates defenses.
