high-upside arm with ace traits and elite prep résumé
Jenna Edwards entered Wichita State as a highly touted 5-foot-7 right-hander whose prep profile screams upside: 215 strikeouts, a 0.71 ERA, a .149 opponent average, and a .664 WHIP in her most recent high school season, plus serious two-way pop at the plate. Wichita State and local coverage described her as a freshman who could become a major piece of the staff, and she was on the D1Softball Freshman watch list entering 2026. If you want a pitcher with nasty run-prevention numbers, competitive pedigree, and room to grow, she’s absolutely worth a look.
