Harvard’s **Luca Alagheband** is a rising lefty who flashed strikeout upside in 2026
In the **2026 season**, Alagheband showed why Harvard trusts him in meaningful innings: he went **1-4 with one save, a 5.72 ERA, and 43 strikeouts in 45.2 innings**, and he was strong enough to earn **Ivy League Pitcher of the Week** after a **0.84 ERA** week with **12 strikeouts** over 10.2 innings.[2][3] The differentiator is the profile: a **6-foot-4 left-handed starter/reliever** with a sturdy frame, a national reputation as one of Canada’s top lefties, and enough swing-and-miss to matter even when the command wobbles.[1][2]
