Darnell Ashton brings veteran VMI linebacker toughness and tackling punch
Ashton is a seasoned VMI linebacker with proven production and a blue-collar edge—he posted a career-high 12 tackles in a 2014 game and was described by VMI as a consistent, dependable defender during his career. His fit is strongest if you want a physical, assignment-sound linebacker who can handle contact and steady a defense; the main caveat is that the publicly available VMI profile data is historical, so current-season impact at VMI cannot be verified from the available sources.
