Shonice Hawkins brings veteran guard savvy and steady playmaking to Iona
Shonice Hawkins is a seasoned Iona guard whose value shows up in the details: in her senior year at St. Anthony’s, she averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, signaling a two-way lead guard who can create, defend, and keep an offense organized[1]. The differentiator is her all-around floor control, not just scoring — she looks like the kind of guard who can stabilize a team, pressure the ball, and make the right read under stress[1]. If a roster needs poise, toughness, and a connector who can guard and facilitate, Hawkins is the fit.
