Missouri State’s name to watch in the backfield mix
Taurean Johnson is a Missouri State running back worth monitoring because he fits the classic “earn-your-snaps” profile: a physical, competitive back who can complement a committee and bring a downhill edge when the Bears want to keep defenses honest. Publicly available team sources and roster data don’t show a clear stat line for him yet, so the key takeaway is role projection rather than production — but that also means there’s room for upside if he translates practice intensity into game reps. In a depth-chart world, he looks like a fit for a team that values toughness, patience and reliable rotational depth.
