Kansas DB, Not FB – A 2003 Defensive Back with No Current 2025–26 Stats
There is no active college football player named Johnnie Watkins playing as a fullback (FB) for the Kansas Jayhawks in the 2025–26 season. The only verified Johnnie Watkins associated with Kansas football is a 2003 defensive back (DB), listed at 5'10", 175 lbs, who played cornerback/defensive back and has no recorded stats beyond that era [5][6]. Multiple sources confirm he was a 2001 recruit from St. Louis, MO, committed to Kansas as a cornerback, not a fullback [7][8]. No current performance data, strengths, rankings, or opinions exist for a Johnnie Watkins FB at Kansas in 2025 or 2026. If you're evaluating a player for your team, this name/position/team combination appears to be either outdated, misreported, or confused with another athlete (e.g., Winston Watkins at Ole Miss, a 2025 receiver [1]).
