Durable ECU Interior Lineman with Proven Run-Game Bite
Jay Ross was a tough, resilient East Carolina defensive tackle who built his reputation on durability, consistency, and disruptive inside play, including a 2008 season with 48 tackles, 5 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, and a school-record-tying 24 straight starts entering that year. ECU described him as playing through pain and expecting a full recovery from a nagging leg injury, which underscores his edge and willingness to grind through contact. If you want an interior defender who brings effort, toughness, and some proven backfield disruption, Ross fits the mold.
