Blake Smith brings steady DB depth and special-teams value for EMU
Blake Smith is a junior defensive back at Eastern Michigan who has carved out value through reliability and versatility rather than flash. EMU’s roster lists him as an active DB from Detroit, and earlier team notes show he has contributed on special teams and in multiple game situations, which hints at a player coaches trust in the details. For a team, that usually means smart positioning, willingness to tackle, and role-player toughness — the kind of low-drama, high-utility piece every depth chart loves.
