Alexis Woods brings depth, size, and sharp-fit versatility to Samford’s frontcourt
Alexis Woods is a 5'6" guard listed as a forward for Samford, and her value is less about headline scoring and more about fit, energy, and floor-spacer potential. In the 2023-24 season at Bridgewater, she saw action in seven games and knocked down a three-pointer in two games, with rebounds showing up as a recurring small-but-useful part of her game. She looks like a low-usage, team-first piece who can add defensive activity and spacing in limited minutes—worth caring about if your roster needs grit, maturity, and a complementary connector rather than a volume scorer.
