strike-throwing righty with proven junior-college production
Koenig is a St. Thomas sophomore RHP who arrives with a solid track record after going 3-3 with 29 strikeouts in 25 innings at Yavapai College in the 2024 season, and he was rated among Minnesota’s top 2023 prep arms by Prep Baseball Report. His profile suggests a compact, durable right-hander with enough feel to miss bats, making him more than a pure arm-strength project. For a staff looking for a competitive, lower-risk pitcher who has already logged meaningful innings and can keep developing, he looks like a useful fit.
