Cael Newton is a rising 6-foot-5 Army defensive lineman with disruptive upside
Cael Newton, a junior DL at Army in the 2026 season, brings prototypical size at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds and is trending upward after appearing in nine games in the 2025 season. He posted 4 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 0.5 sack and a quarterback hurry in 2025, with his first two career tackles coming against Charlotte and his first sack showing he can flash real disruption. The Army roster and his background as a multi-sport athlete suggest toughness and versatility; he looks like a fit for teams valuing length, effort and developmental upside over instant-star flash.
