Long, smart Texas A&M forward with a high-IQ game
Katrina Limbaha was a 6-foot-3 forward for Texas A&M whose value came less from flashy scoring and more from size, efficiency, and polish; in the 2009-10 season she was a senior, and Texas A&M listed her as an Academic All-Big 12 honoree with a 3.760 GPA in international studies, which says a lot about her discipline and steadying presence. She had played in 59 career games with five starts by then, a useful sign of a reliable role player who could fit a system that prizes maturity, rebounding, and team-first basketball.
