Houser is a high-upside 7-footer, but his Penn State role was limited
In the 2025-26 season, Justin Houser was a deep reserve for Penn State, averaging 1.4 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 6.3 minutes per game across 18 appearances, so the raw production is modest even though the frame and shot-blocking tools are real.[1][11] His best selling points are size, rim protection and a developing stretch game — he flashed three-point range in high school and showed enough feel to score in eight college games last season.[8][11] He looks like a fit for a team willing to develop a long, defensive big rather than demand immediate frontcourt impact.[8][12]
