versatile FAU freshman with upside, polish, and a scholar-athlete edge
Ava Difato entered Florida Atlantic in 2026 as a freshman utility player from Pembroke Pines, and her profile suggests a high-IQ, adaptable piece rather than a box-score hog: she appeared in three games, made her debut against Florida State at the Clearwater Invitational, and scored her first two runs in back-to-back appearances, while her high-school résumé shows steady production (.340 over four varsity seasons) and recognition as a Broward County first-team selection as a junior. She also earned 2026 All-America Scholar-Athlete honors, which fits the picture of a dependable, coachable player who brings hustle, flexibility, and competitive makeup to a roster.
