Blake Mitchell brings veteran grit and leadership to Austin Peay’s offensive front
Blake Mitchell is a proven, high-IQ interior lineman whose value goes well beyond the box score: in 2019, he earned first-team All-OVC honors and helped Austin Peay’s offense post program-best marks in total offense, passing yards, and rushing touchdowns while allowing an OVC-low 14 sacks[1]. He was also described by the staff as an outstanding leader who reshaped his body, handled multiple line spots, and set the tone with a big personality and nonstop effort[1][2]. That kind of seasoned, adaptable, culture-setting OL is a strong fit for a program that wants toughness and stability up front[1][2].
