a throwback, tackle-forcing linebacker with all-conference pedigree
Brett Koebcke was a high-impact UNI linebacker who earned 2004 Gateway All-Conference honors and, in the 2005 season, led the Panthers in tackles in key stretches with 41 solo stops, 19 assists, 6 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks. He stood out for range, downhill urgency, and a nose for the ball—plus the kind of physical, tone-setting style that coaches love in the middle of a defense. The clearest fit profile: a reliable, hard-nosed linebacker who brings production, edge, and leadership rather than flash.
