a true paint presence for UIC
Yakimenko is a 6-foot-4 center whose calling card is interior efficiency and rebounding punch; in a standout UIC game against Morgan State, she posted a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double and helped swing the game with a key second-half run[1][3]. Her value goes beyond the box score: she brings size, rim presence, and the kind of steady low-post toughness that can change the tone of a game when UIC needs an anchor inside[1][3].
