versatile Indiana State newcomer with projectable bat and defensive utility
Ty Brown joins Indiana State as a 2026 freshman INF/OF from South Spencer High School, bringing right-handed versatility and a 6-foot, 190-pound frame that suggests room to grow into more impact. The clearest appeal is his flexibility: he can move around the diamond, which makes him a useful fit for a roster that values lineup and defensive options. Publicly available recruiting/profile info is limited, so his exact college production profile is still a watch item, but the Sycamores clearly saw enough athletic upside and adaptability to add him to the class.
