Brock Baca brings veteran kickoffs, but his NMSU role is now in the rearview mirror
Brock Baca’s most notable college run came in the 2013 season, when he handled kickoff duties for New Mexico State and averaged 56.4 yards on 1,747 kickoff yards across eight games, a strong leg for field-position football.[1][3] He profiles as a specialist with clear value in kick placement and touchback potential, but current 2026 NMSU special-teams previews point to other players taking over the starting kicking job, so he looks more like a historical contributor than a present-day roster fit.[12][13]
