veteran Georgia State guard who brings pace, poise, and playmaking
Madison Newby is a high-IQ Georgia State guard whose calling card has long been distribution and disruption: in her earlier Georgia State seasons, she was a Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and later put up 11.2 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.4 steals in the 2017-18 season, while also showing she can pile up assists and attack the game with intensity. Her best fit is a team that values toughness, tempo, and a lead guard who can create for others while pressuring the ball. The biggest plus: she’s a proven college floor general with a relentless edge.
