Derrick Mayweather brings proven linebacker production and steady playmaking to FAMU
Derrick Mayweather is a useful, field-stable LB for Florida A&M, with verified production that includes 40 tackles in 10 games in the 2017 season and 42 tackles plus 2 sacks in the 2019 season. He profiles as a dependable, instinctive defender who showed up as a “pleasant surprise” at linebacker, suggesting strong development and coachability rather than just raw athletic flash. If you want a linebacker who can fit into a system, handle assignments, and contribute in multiple phases, Mayweather looks like a smart depth-and-impact add.
