Sophia Guerra Leiva gives Chattanooga a seasoned lefty arm with upside
Sophia Guerra Leiva is a senior left-handed pitcher for Chattanooga in the 2026 season, and her value is in poise, versatility, and the ability to miss bats when she settles in. Chattanooga’s roster lists her as a 5-foot-5 pitcher from Guatemala City, Guatemala, and in the 2026 season she logged 35.1 innings with 30 strikeouts while posting a 4.75 ERA and a 3-1 record; one report also noted a seven-strikeout relief outing against Mercer. She looks like a fit for a team needing competitive toughness, experience, and a crafty arm more than pure velocity.
