Northern Illinois CB Maalik Todd brings length, discipline, and developmental upside
Maalik Todd is a Northern Illinois cornerback worth watching because his profile suggests a **coverage-first defensive back** with room to grow into a reliable fit in a disciplined secondary. The Huskies roster lists him at CB, but publicly available detail is limited, so the strongest takeaway is his *projectability*: a player you evaluate for technique, competitiveness, and coachability rather than headline stats. If you need a high-floor, system-fit defender who can be molded into a dependable rotational piece, Todd is the kind of prospect that can quietly add value.
