FGCU’s Redshirt Freshman Lefty Is Still a Blank Slate
Ryan Thompson is listed on Florida Gulf Coast’s 2026 roster as a freshman who redshirted and did not compete, so there’s no current college stat line yet to judge in the 2026 season[1]. The upside is that he’s still early in his development curve, which often means teams are buying projection, arm talent, and coachability more than immediate numbers. The catch? With no recent on-field production in a FGCU uniform, his value right now is more about future upside than proven impact[1].
