Hutch Swilley Transfers to McNeese After Redshirt Freshman Year at Louisiana
The 5-11, 193-lb running back from Lafayette, Louisiana has made a lateral move to McNeese State for the 2026-2027 season after redshirting his freshman year at Louisiana in 2024. Swilley arrives with elite high school production—1,764 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns over his final two seasons at St. Thomas More, earning two-time LSWA Class 4A All-State honors. His measurables (4.42 40-yard dash, 36-inch vertical, 495-lb squat) suggest explosive athleticism. As a developmental prospect seeking immediate playing time, Swilley represents a proven high school producer looking to establish himself at the FCS level with a fresh opportunity.
