Gabe Newman brings a proven pass-rush profile to Fresno State
In Fresno State’s 2014 roster listing, Gabe Newman was a 6-foot-5, 241-pound defensive end who logged 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks as a sophomore, pointing to an edge defender with length and interior-to-edge disruption potential[3]. The main reason to care about him is that his frame and sack production suggest a player built to affect quarterbacks, not just occupy blockers, which can fit well in a team looking for a developmental DE with upside[3].
