reliable Virginia Tech leg with proven distance and clutch upside
Journell has been a steady Virginia Tech kicker, showing strong conversion rates on both field goals and extra points, plus legitimate range with a career long of 56 yards and 233 total points. His value is in consistency and late-game trust: he has enough leg strength to matter from distance, while also being dependable on routine kicks. The main caveat is that he’s a specialist, so his impact is situational rather than all-over-the-box-score, but for a team needing a kicker who can settle games, he’s a fit.
