Defensive-Minded Developer Now Leading the Boomers
Adam Caporn is a coach-first basketball figure, not a current Saint Mary’s Gaels player, and his value comes from player development, international experience, and a reputation for humility and steady leadership. He has coached with Basketball Australia since 2017 and was part of the Boomers’ bronze-medal run, while also serving as a Washington Wizards assistant before being named head coach of Australia’s men’s national team in 2025. For a team, he fits best as a tactician and culture-builder who can sharpen guard play and reinforce disciplined, team-oriented habits.
