Mescall brings local scoring pedigree, but her Canisius role is still developing
Molly Mescall is a freshman guard for Canisius whose biggest calling card is a proven scoring résumé from Iroquois High School, where she finished as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,757 points and earned 2023-24 Division IV Player of the Year honors after averaging 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.3 steals per game. At Canisius, her early college minutes have been limited and her production is still modest, but her background suggests a competitive, multi-category guard who can affect the game beyond scoring. She looks like a developmental fit for a team that values toughness, creation, and two-way effort.
