ECU’s Interior Anchor With a Local-Product Edge
Rod Emery is a **Greenville, N.C. native** and a **junior center** for East Carolina, which gives him obvious familiarity with the program and a developmental profile that fits a team-valued lineman: steady, assignment-driven, and built for trench work rather than flash.[2][5] Publicly available ECU roster records list him as **6-1, 260** and a **2L** performer, suggesting experience and enough time in the system to understand protections, leverage, and communication duties at center.[2] He is the kind of player who matters if you want **reliable line play, continuity, and a local guy with program ties** more than headline-making statistics.[2][5]
