Nevada's Dual-Threat QB With Record-Setting High School Production
Dante Mayes arrives at Nevada as a **dual-threat quarterback** from Freedom High School, where he produced at a high level and ranked among the top performers in California and the North Coast Section. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, his appeal is the blend of mobility, arm talent, and proven production that makes him a scheme-friendly fit for an offense that wants quarterback run/pass versatility. Nevada’s roster notes also point to a record-setting prep résumé, which suggests he brings confidence and playmaking upside rather than just raw tools.
