Michael Hinton brings Ohio a physical, no-nonsense safety presence
Michael Hinton is the kind of safety who can make a defense feel a little meaner—in a good way. I couldn’t verify current 2025 individual stat leaders for him from the available information, but his value is the stuff coaches love: tackling reliability, back-end communication, and the ability to play downhill without looking reckless. If Ohio wants a steady fit in the secondary, Hinton projects as a smart, tone-setting defender who should matter more by how he closes space and erases mistakes than by flashy numbers.
