seasoned Alcorn guard with a grinder’s edge
James Stokes is a veteran guard for Alcorn State with a reputation built on toughness, defensive fight, and doing the dirty work that helps winning teams breathe easier. His college bio lists him at 6-foot-0 and 175 pounds, and it points to a high-energy player who contributed even in limited minutes, including a standout 2017-18 game with 8 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds and a block while matched up with a top SWAC scorer. For a team, he reads as a steady, physical, role-fit guard who brings intensity and experience rather than flashy box-score volume.
