Kamron Hoover brings ball-hawking upside to NCCU’s secondary
Hoover is a North Carolina Central defensive back whose background points to a playmaking coverage defender with notable return value, including strong high school special-teams production and national recognition in recruiting rankings. His profile suggests a versatile DB with instinct and field awareness rather than just raw size, which can make him a fit for a secondary that values range, competitiveness, and sub-package flexibility. NCCU’s roster page does not list current season stats, so the best read is that he is still in a development phase at the college level, but his pedigree and DB/CB background make him an intriguing depth-and-upside add.
