David Case has become Memphis’ steady Sunday lefty with a real strike-throwing edge
In the 2026 season, Memphis left-hander David Case has settled in as a dependable rotation piece, flashing swing-and-miss stuff with a low-walk approach and several long outings, including a six-inning, seven-strikeout win over Toledo and a strong stretch of quality starts. His value goes beyond the line score: he competes deep into games, has shown the ability to neutralize good lineups, and earned American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honorable mention twice in 2026. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a composed, experienced strike-thrower who can start and keep the bullpen fresh.
