Pesky 5'9" Guard with Elite Intensity and 11.5 PPG in 2025-26
Ivy Smith, a pesky 5'9" point guard for Savannah State Tigers (notably listed as Grambling State in some databases), delivered a standout 2025-26 season averaging 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists with 38.9% field goal accuracy. Her differentiator is relentless defensive pressure and high-intensity play that transcends stats; she plays with a 'pesky' intensity that disrupts opponents, making her a perfect fit for teams needing a ball-hawking guard who elevates team defense. While she has no major injury history, her compact size (5'9") demands smart positioning, but her 4.1 assists per game reveal elite court vision and leadership. You should care because she brings a unique blend of scoring, playmaking, and defensive grit that statistics alone can't capture—she's the athlete who wins games through sheer will and hustle.
