the steady Sac State leg with proven Big Sky scoring chops
Cornish built a strong reputation at Sacramento State as a reliable kicker, finishing the 2015 season with 48 points, making all 21 extra points, and going 9-of-18 on field goals; in 2014, he hit 14-of-17 field goals and set a school record by converting all five attempts in one game. His differentiator is consistency under pressure and long-range confidence, not flash. That kind of dependable special-teams value matters if a team wants a kicker who can settle games, even though his field-goal accuracy dipped in 2015 after a sharper 2014.
