Trent Hillen is a strike-throwing workhorse who can swing a series
In the 2025 season, Northwestern State right-hander Trent Hillen flashed real rotation value: he posted a 7-1 record with a 5.54 ERA over 76.1 innings, including a complete-game shutout at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and two Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. His calling card is command and competitiveness—NSU notes he pounded the zone, and opponents had trouble damaging him with runners in scoring position. A 6-foot-3, 220-pound RHP with a starter’s build, he looks like the kind of arm a staff can trust when it needs innings, poise, and a guy who doesn’t blink.
