Nick DeSalvo brings a legitimate punting profile: in high school, he posted a 42.9-yard punt average that ranked among the nation’s best on MaxPreps, and at Youngstown State he appeared in six games in the 2021 spring season with 10 punts for 399 yards, averaging 39.9 yards per kick and placing three inside the 20. That combination of field-position value, repeatable leg strength, and early college game experience makes him the kind of specialist coaches want when hidden yardage matters.
