Cayden Ward is Cal Poly’s rising two-way wing who can score, rebound, and scrap
In the 2025-26 season, Cayden Ward has been a steady offensive engine for Cal Poly, averaging 14.5 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 45.8% from the field and 31.0% from three across 33 games; he also led the Mustangs to a career-best 19-point game in a win at Cal State Fullerton in February 2025. What makes him intriguing is the blend of size, toughness, and production from a guard spot, plus a backstory as a former walk-on who earned his role and has grown into a leader, though his three-point consistency and turnover rate remain the swing skills.
