Lamont Simmons brings veteran linebacker savvy, but current 2026 production is unclear
Lamont Simmons is listed as a Northwestern State linebacker, but the most reliable public pages available here do not show current 2026 stat production, so his present impact can’t be measured cleanly from numbers alone. What stands out is the veteran profile: he’s been connected to Northwestern State for years and was described in team coverage as someone who “did some good things” in practice/scrimmage settings, which suggests experience, steadiness, and coach-trust traits that matter in a linebacker room. If a team wants a seasoned, assignment-sound defender rather than a headline-chasing stat machine, Simmons looks like a plausible fit.
