Cornell's Academic Football Standout from 2008-09 Era
Ryne Posey, a defensive tackle/linebacker for Cornell Big Red in 2008-09, impressed early with a career-high five tackles vs. Bucknell and three at Georgetown, totaling 10 stops as a reserve while earning 2009 NFF Hampshire Honor Society honors for blending on-field leadership, academic excellence, and community impact; a former walk-on who became a defensive rotation staple, his grit and smarts make him a low-risk, high-character fit for teams valuing versatile, intense linemen over raw athleticism—though long graduated, his profile screams prototypical developmental gem.
