Athletic SWAC DB with Elite Speed for Jackson State
Darreon Atkins, Jackson State's cornerback, stands out with explosive athleticism from his recruiting combine—4.78-second 40-yard dash, 4.25 20-yard shuttle, and 33.7-inch vertical—making him a twitched-up cover man ideal for man-press schemes in the SWAC. His length and burst help him mirror speedy receivers, though limited college stats suggest room for polish in zone drops and tackling angles. No major injury flags; his high-motor intensity screams 'developmental gem' for Power 5 teams seeking affordable transfer portal upside—watch him shine in big games.
