proven defensive playmaker, but not a Kent State LB
The player profile appears to be mismatched: the available reliable information identifies Will Johnson as an NFL cornerback, not a Kent State linebacker. He was a two-time All-American at Michigan and a 2023 national champion who won Defensive MVP honors, which signals elite instincts, ball skills, and big-game credibility. In his 2025 NFL regular season, he logged 27 solo tackles, 10 passes defended, and 1 forced fumble, showing active coverage impact rather than box-only production. If you need a high-end defensive back, he’s a fit; if you specifically need a Kent State LB, this is likely the wrong player.
