Yanessa Boyd brings veteran length, energy, and connective play to ETSU’s backcourt
In the 2025-26 season, Yanessa Boyd gave East Tennessee State a useful two-way perimeter piece: she played in 21 of 31 games, averaged 6.9 minutes, and contributed 15 points, 6 assists, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and a block while helping the Bucs win the Southern Conference regular-season title. Her best value is not volume scoring — it’s her experience, athleticism, and hustle, plus the ability to pop a timely shot and move the ball. ETSU’s staff specifically praised her energy and enthusiasm, which screams “glue guard” for a program that wants edge and depth.
