Alex Wright brings proven UAB production — but the real story is in the motor, length, and edge-rush upside
In the 2021 season, Alex Wright was a highly productive UAB linebacker with 17 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a sack in limited action, and his long, 6-foot-7 frame helped him stand out as a disruptive defender rather than just a box-score player. He later developed into an NFL draft pick, which says plenty about the traits evaluators loved: size, length, effort, and versatility. If you’re asking whether he’s a fit, the answer is yes for a defense that values rangy, high-upside pressure creators who can win with physical tools and relentless energy.
