Army’s tackling machine Barrett Scruggs brings veteran toughness and sideline-to-sideline juice
Barrett Scruggs is a proven Army linebacker whose calling card is production, instincts, and reliability: ESPN lists him with 96 total tackles in his most recent season shown, plus 53 solo stops, and Army’s roster bio praised his speed, quickness, and understanding of the game. He’s the kind of service-academy defender who fits a disciplined, physical scheme—smart, experienced, and willing to do the dirty work. If you want a linebacker who flashes leadership and steady run support rather than splashy highlight-chasing, Scruggs is absolutely worth your attention.
